This is a intresting podcast I learned about from This Week in Tech # 30 its called Podcacher and it is a podcast about Geocaching but wait there is more…
They also have hybrid podcast/geocaches that use both your GPS and audio clues to locate the cache!
So this seems pretty cool, I have always been intrested in geocaching but not intrested enough to buy a GPS Reciever. This may just change my mind enough to invest in a small entry level GPS. My issue being a tech guy and hiker with GPS has been lack of usefullness and functionality. I just don’t think GPS utility and battery life are there yet to make it worth carrying around on a hike.
So go check out at www.podcacher.com and find some crazy stuff in the woods.

I’ve thought of using topos to locate geocaches. Plot the UTM myself and then hit the trail. I improve my nav skills and don’t have to buy a GPS to geocache.
Haven’t actually *done* it yet, but I’ve thought about it.
