While winter is comming to an end we still have some chilly spring days ahead of us not to mention all those fun aches and pains as we get our large hybernated butts back onto the trail. I spotted these instructions for simple, reuseable, microwaveable rice heating pads and thought I would pass it on. I have actualy seen rice warming pads for sale in large retail shops such as Bed Bath and Beyond, too bad I don’t have a microwave to make any use of this.

There’s got to be a way to heat something like this on the trail, though….
I’m assuming you’re not planning on building a fire every night - don’t think it’s even allowed in a great many places - so we’re talking stove power. Could you set it on top of the cooking pot (on the lid) while heating up water, etc. without burning it?
